*Children's day...speech*

Respected teachers and my dear frnds..

Children's day is celebrated on November 14.It is the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru.He was the first Prime Minister of India.He was very font of children.Whenever he went, he loved to be with children.Children lovingly called him Chachaji.That is the reason why his birthday is celebrated as Children's day.

  Jawaharlal Nehru said, ''Today's children are tomorrow's citizens''. He also believed that children are the future of a nation.Being children, we have many duties and responsibilities to perform.
It is not good to waate our time in laziness.As students our prime duty is to study well.If we study well, no doubt, the future of India will be bright.

  Along with education, we should have some other qualities too.We must have certain values in our lives.If we are bad, the country will suffer from it.It will be in the great trouble because of our bad character.Today, What our country needs are good children.

And also we all knew the fact...ie; Crime rate among children.How to reduce the crime rate among children.

All the children consider themselves to the part of mankind....Yes! they are part of MAN, but how kind are they now????Now-a-days there is an alarming increase in the crime rate among children.

Everyday we hear of children who learn in highschool classes involve in such crimes as teasing,  pocket picking, thieving, lifting, robbing people and even killing them. Recently, a highschool child has killed his neighbour who is a pregnant woman.And we have to hear some more cases like that.And some more suicide mentality there.Students are going to suicide for unreasonable matters. matters.Another child has killed his classmate for a silly matter.If an educated child is committing a crime, is something understandable.So we have to discuss that matters on this day.That's must.Suppose an educated child indulges in unlawful and criminal acts,,, especially in killing then what is the use of education and what  they acquire through these years friends.It means that there has been something gravely wrong with the education of such children.Their education has only provided them facts but not ideas, knowledge, wisdom or morality.The only remedy that we can make our education give value-based information.So we have to consider such days ....we have to celebrate that day.Children  must be given moral education along with their formal education.So give some more...more and more awareness classes on that day.And must be given lessons in basic values of life-like honesty, truthfulness,.love,patience, tolerance,
co-operation, sympathy etc.So that they can become good.Yes..sure!

You know friends.. Jawaharlal Nehru had a vision about India.It is our duty to fulfill his dreams.Thus, we will be able to make India a developed country.So you have to take decisions.The students  need more awareness classes for a good future.Today's children are tomorrow's citizens..
